COVID-19 UPDATES

COVID TESTING

The Lee Clinic has access to both the self collection nasal swab to determine if you currently HAVE the virus and the blood antibody test to determine that you either have antibodies to a current infection (IgM) or have HAD the virus (IgG).

Many insurance companies are reimbursing for this test, but you need to check with your insurance company about your specific policy.

PCR NASAL SWAB C-19

The self collection Real Time RT-PCR nasal swab test is approved by The FDA under the Emergency Use Act.This test has a high specificity and sensitivity for the SARS-CoV2 virus, which means it has a high probability to pick up the virus if you are symptomatic or asymptomatic. The test is a nasal swab which only needs to be inserted one inch into each nasal cavity. The kit can be sent to you and includes all supplies needed as well as a pre paid envelope to send the test to the lab. Once the test is received by the approved lab, results are reported to be available in 24 hours. We will give you a superbill and you may submit it to your insurance company.

SARS-COV-2 Antibody Test - C19P

This test is designed to complement the Real Time RT-PCR (nasal home collection test) in the diagnosis of SARS-CoV2 (see below). These tests follow the guidelines set by FDA under the emergency use act application, follow the CDC guidelines, and are performed in an approved facility under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA),  to perform high complexity testing.  Access is one of the first diagnostic labs in the USA currently performing the COVID-19 Antibodies IgG and IgM on automated instrumentation following FDA guidelines.  The antibody test is a blood test that will need to be drawn at a specific lab or with our mobile phlebotomist. Results are available within 24 hours.

Each test kit is $199 and can either be mailed to you or picked up at our Winchester office. We are not sure how long this supply will last, so please reach out to us as soon as possible if you are interested in this test.  You can call 540-542-1700 or send us an email at contact@theleeclinic.com.

CLINIC UPDATES

During this difficult time dealing with the uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 virus, we want you to know that The Lee Clinic is OPEN and will remain open. We are also still accepting new patients. Dr. Lee is back in the Leesburg office on Mondays and Winchester office on Tuesdays. She will be doing tele-health Wednesdays & Thursdays.

NEW: For blood draws, we have a mobile phlebotomist that can do house calls for any blood work. Click here to be directed to her site.

Our Winchester location is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, to allow patients to pick up and order vitamins, tests and Ideal Protein food products.

We have a stringent cleaning process in place, however we need anyone who is ill or has been in contact with someone who is ill to not come in. In addition, if you have a history of travel and have not self quarantined for at least 14 days, please place your order online.

A balanced immune system is important to fighting this virus. The physicians at The Lee Clinic always recommend pharmaceutical grade vitamins. Due to high demand, there may be an instance where our vitamins may sell out. Please contact the office as we have resources and discounts with other pharmaceutical grade companies to get you what you need.

If you should have any questions, please call the office at 540-542-1700 or send us an email at contact@theleeclinic.com
