Vitamin D - studies show that higher vitamin D levels are associated with lower risk factors for cardiovascular disease

CoQ10 - important anti-oxidant that prevents lipid and DNA oxidation and  helps with energy production.  Critical to patients taking statins.  

Grape Seed Extract - Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory which in one study showed a decrease in atherosclerosis and cardiac events.

Lipoic Acid - fat soluble anti-oxidant that inhibits endothelial activation, slowly arterial plaque buildup and negative cardiovascular events.

Omega 3’s - Assist in triglyceride metabolism, increases HDL (the good cholesterol), lowers high blood pressure, prevents plaque build up and can prevents blood clots

Taurine - Can help to lower blood pressure, decrease triglycerides and protects cell membranes from damage.

Magnesium - Crucial for maintaining a regular heart beat and a normal blood pressure.

MTHFR - For those with the MTHFR mutation, the reduced methylation ability decreases the conversion of homocysteine to methionine. High homocysteine is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Policosanol - maintain normal levels of total, HDL, and LDL cholesterol. It inhibits the oxidation of LDL and has beneficial actions on cardiovascular capacity, platelet function, and eicosanoid balance.

Vitamin C - inhibits the oxidation of LDL, reducing atherosclerosis. May also improve endothelial function.
